Born in the North East
Route was founded in Newcastle upon Tyne in 2016, with offices first on Quayside before moving shortly after to the inspirational Generator Studios building just off Trafalgar Street. We are still headquartered there today, a five-minute walk from Newcastle Central Station, so clients travelling in by train can be with us in minutes.
We plan and buy media for North East organisations, from building societies and councils to arts venues and shopping centres, and we take what works here to clients across the whole of the UK and internationally.
Being local matters when a campaign is local. We know the region and its audiences first hand, and we can be in the room whenever a client needs us.
Our team, in Newcastle and across the UK
Newcastle is our headquarters. Our team works from the studio here and from other locations across the UK, and every client works directly with the people doing the work. We meet in person when it makes a difference and online the rest of the time, which keeps travel, and its carbon, to a minimum.
We grow local talent too. We bring people in through Baltic Apprenticeships and through graduate connections with Newcastle and Northumbria universities, and we are an accredited Living Wage Employer and an Armed Forces Covenant signatory.
