How do you get named when buyers ask an AI assistant?

By making your organisation the easiest one for AI to read, trust and cite. We open your site to AI crawlers, set out who you are and what you do as structured data and rewrite pages to answer real questions directly. Each month we track whether Google's AI answers, Gemini, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude name you.

What we optimise

Crawler access

robots.txt, llms.txt and indexing for Googlebot, Google-Extended, Bingbot and the AI answer crawlers.

Entity clarity

One consistent description of who you are, with structured data for your organisation, services and people that links it together.

Answer-first content

Pages that open with a direct answer, then show the evidence, in the words buyers use.

Citable proof

Case studies, credentials and facts set out so an assistant can quote and link them.

Fast indexing

Accurate sitemap dates and IndexNow, so Bing and Copilot can pick up changes sooner.

Visibility tracking

A monthly prompt panel that shows where you are named, cited or missing.

Where your buyers are asking

Google AI Overviews and AI Mode

AI answers at the top of Google results, built on Google's own index, so strong SEO is the starting point.

Gemini

Google's assistant. The Google-Extended setting controls whether your content is used to train and ground Gemini.

Microsoft Copilot

Built on Bing's index, which IndexNow tells about new and changed pages straight away.

ChatGPT search

Cites pages it can reach through its own search crawler, OAI-SearchBot, and its search partners.

Perplexity

Shows its sources openly, so citations are easy to track.

Claude

Anthropic's assistant searches the web and cites what it finds. Its Claude-SearchBot crawler indexes sites for those answers.

How we work

  1. Prompt audit

We build the list of questions your buyers ask AI assistants and record who gets named today.

  2. Access and structure

We check AI and search crawlers can read the site, then fix structured data, sitemaps and indexing.

  3. Entity and proof

We make your organisation, people, services, credentials and results consistent and machine-readable.

  4. Answer-ready content

We rewrite and add pages so each one answers a real question directly, with evidence.

  5. Measure and repeat

We report mentions and citations monthly against the baseline, then prioritise the next gaps.

Search, paid and AI together

AI search optimisation sits with our SEO consultancy and paid search work, because the same questions drive all three. Search-term data shows what people ask, AI visibility tracking shows who gets named, and analytics shows what those visits go on to do.

We can also run ads inside the answers themselves, in ChatGPT and in Google and Microsoft AI search, so you have a visible place beside the answer while optimisation builds.

Common questions

What is generative engine optimisation (GEO)?

Generative engine optimisation is the work of making an organisation easy for AI assistants to find, understand, trust and cite. It builds on SEO, adding a focus on entities, structured data, answer-first content and the sources AI systems quote.

Is AI search optimisation different from SEO?

It shares the same foundations, a crawlable and technically sound site, useful content and credible references. The difference is the goal. SEO aims for a ranking position, while AI search optimisation aims for your organisation to be named and linked inside the answer itself.

Which AI assistants does it cover?

We optimise for Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT search, Perplexity and Claude. Gemini draws on Google's index and Copilot on Bing's, so the work covers both search engines' crawlers as well as the assistants. Our monthly tracking measures Google's AI answers, Gemini, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude directly. Copilot is currently not monitored in the same way, because the tracking tools do not cover it yet. Reporting on Copilot takes several extra layers of analysis, which we can provide as a paid extra.

How do you measure AI search visibility?

We track a fixed set of the prompts your buyers ask, month by month, recording whether you are mentioned, cited or linked and which competitors appear instead. We pair that with Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools and analytics data on visits from AI tools.
