Hospitality and property
How do you put a bespoke Cotswolds rental brand in front of a discerning audience?
By pairing search visibility with the right audience. From 2022, Route ran on-site SEO, Google Ads and paid social across Meta, LinkedIn and Twitter for Luxury Cotswold Rentals, with tracking integrated across every channel to reach its discerning, high-net-worth audience.
The brief
Luxury Cotswold Rentals lets bespoke, highly appointed cottages and country houses across the Cotswolds, backed by a booking and destination app the business describes as unique in the region. Its audience is discerning and high-net-worth, and its offer is a specialist, considered purchase that was not yet appearing in the top search positions that mattered most.
What we planned
We began with competitor benchmarking and built keyword themes around locality, luxury and scale, targeting Cotswolds-specific searches across the UK while focusing non-geographic searches such as country houses to rent on London, the Home Counties and Gloucestershire. We planned audiences based on observation, integrated tracking and identified demand beyond the UK into markets including the US.
What we did
From 2022, we delivered on-site SEO, Google Ads and paid social across Meta, LinkedIn and Twitter, with tracking integrated throughout. Seasonally timed campaigns followed, including a Wimbledon-themed push to high-net-worth audiences and a festive collection for the Christmas market, alongside technical SEO work to clear site errors and toxic backlinks.
What it did
For Luxury Cotswold Rentals, the campaign moved its most important keywords from no top rankings to page one with featured snippets, and recorded conversions from nine countries, including the US. Even as the wider Cotswolds travel-search market contracted by around half, the business grew its market share.
