Ben Dascombe, our Director, initially started out in marketing in the 90s, working on the client side. He moved over to the agency side of the industry in 1997 to work at a specialist radio agency, before leaving to launch a media agency in London. He ran the agency with his partners for 17 years, helping to launch a number of now household names in the UK, including Betfair, Not On The High Street and PayPal.
At Route, Ben, who is based at Royal Tunbridge Wells, helps to oversee our southern team based in and around Kent and Sussex. Day-to-day he works across a mixture of implementing campaigns, HR, legal, business strategy, banking and most other things that go into helping the agency thrive!
When asked about what he loves about Route, he said: “The challenge and the variation. I also really enjoy seeing people grow and become confident in themselves.”
“I would historically be an advocate of more time in the office, as I think that helps with learning and growth of an individual, but I’m happy with the balance we have at Route and the way we can help the team members at all levels to improve and deliver great activity for clients.”
